oh, who's miss negativity now?

It has been a week!!! and I'm only at Tuesday? Serious?! How come it feels like it's been an eternity and I've still got so far to go - sigh. Because life is like that and that's all there is to it! Okay, so I started a list of all the things that I HATE just to vent, right? As I was typing faster then my fingers could go I got a slap in the face from somewhere, 'huh?', and realized I had entered the 'negativity zone' - the 'negativity zone' is where all creativity stops and 'dead ends' rear their ugly heads. Oh, yah, that's right! Hmmmmm - okay, how about a different kind of list:

l. I love it when I don't drop at least ten things a day....

2. I love it when it doesn't rain 24/7

3. I love it when there isn't more then two technical problems in a day (It's been computer work for three days straight)

 4. I love it when the birds aren't molting and the floor doesn't look like there was a pillow fight

5. I love it when I don't have to wash my hair and take an extra 15 mins getting it back to dirty enough to manage

 6. I love it when I don't spill half my coffee in the morning ( believe me I need every drop)

7. I love it when I actually get GOOD customer service - so rare!!

 8. I love it when I don't drag wax, paint, and stuff I don't even know what it is, into the house when I'm done painting for the day

9. I love it when I actually know what I'm making for dinner

10. I love it when the clothes I've ordered online actually fit!

This list could go on and on and maybe I will add to it as the days go by, but there were actually some wonderful things that have happened. On Saturday and Sunday my artist friend Melinda Esparza (love her work and spirit, check her out)was part of the annual Artist's Studio Tour in Tucson AZ - okay that's very cool, but she did something I'm totally jacked up about - she streamed live painting demos from her studio!! I was able to actually watch her do her magic. How cool is that!! So of course I'm thinking, geez, what an amazing tool! right? so I went to 'ustream', created my own channel and hopefully in the near future I will be able to come to you live from my studio!!  will keep you posted. And these arrived yesterday - 'Frozen Charlottes' - some of you will be familiar with these extremely cool little bits of ceramic dolls. Go here for the back story on these gems.(making some personal art using these sweethearts)

This also arrived yesterday!!! OMG! I'm in love with this piece - it's my birthday present from Jim! I scored it on etsy at Hopscotch Coutour.  Please visit Marelle's site!  I think her work is wonderful.   I am a 'recycled jewelry' junky and putter with it myself, but this just screamed my name - sorry for the goofy photo - you know how it goes when you are trying to photo yourself and not look all crazy!

As you might have already noticed I've changed my hipstamatic corner to my 'morning photos corner'. As I am walking in the morning I've started to take pictures with my iphone and post to my 'morning photos' page. Since I have to walk so slow now, I have started to notice my neighborhood in a different way and so I have started documenting it. AND I finally configured my iphone to tweet - I've had a twitter account for years, but never really used it, but I'm full on now, so follow if you dare! You can click the twitter button at the top of my sidebar.

And finally the art part. The photo below shows a little 12x12 piece I'm going to work on this afternoon. This is the very beginning of the process - panel that I've cleaned my brushes on, now covered with globs of wax and bits of paper and some other stuff that I don't know what it is.......

Happy Tues and OMG! could this post be any longer? My rule of thumb is that each post is like a postcard - a small amount of text, then a pic, but oh, well, sometimes there is just more to say!

Absolutely love the necklace...and Happy belated Birthday!
Your post today has been pure joy...bringing me smiles and agreement throughout! My trouble with it only being Tuesday is my list of 'chores' that keeps growing and moving me further from the studio!
Love your sidebar and will be following...you are light years ahead of me...I'm in awe!

You crack me up. I myself thought tomorrow was Thursday....but no! Its only Wednesday.

2 weekends in a row without rain and another predicted. Wow, are we lucky!

Hahaha! What a knockout post!! This is an instant classic. And, not because you mentioned me, though I am blushing humbly here, but because of your hilarious and so true list, followed by your beautiful photo and art.

Just wow, and wow, and wow again.

You make the best lists and art. I have the same thing with my hair, customer service, online clothing, well, you know, just about everything. Miss my little budgie, though. I remember those days of little feathers all over the floor.

I'm glad you were able to turn it all around and think of all the good things that do happen to and for you!

Warm, sunny, and happy hugs from the desert.

Love your list. Might have to write one of my own in a minute. As you know, I loved watching you work on your little clips (from inside that drawer!) so can't wait for the "Big screen" format. Ax

Haha i loved to read your 'looooooooooong' post. A belated happy birthday greet from me. This post lift me up, getting out my negativity zone straight away. Thank you!
The photos are also wonderful to look at, adorable little puppets, goofy (?) but charming selfportrait, the necklace is great, and the art stuff. Great how a working panel can be the start of a new painting right? I'm curious how it will end. And gosh. so sorry for the looooong comment. That's what happens when a post is so long. ;-)

I really enjoyed you "love" list. I agree with so many of them. Funny, never really thought about alot of them until you mentioned it. I guess we just take a lot for granted. Great blog. I would follow you but your link isn't up for that. I will try to remember the name so I can pop in from time to time.

hello Mary Ann, I know!! I love it too!but I'm a real 'recycled jewelry' junky - I love the idea of all the past put together in a new way - well the live stream is on board, but I have a list of things to work out first! the techno world is a slippery slope xo

good morning Carole, well the list slapped me upside the head and made me step back into the more positive zone, but geez, some days just seem hopeless, no? the necklace is a treasure for sure - I'll have to put a link to some of my fav jewelry designers on my sidebar - it's a world I love wandering through xo

Hi Leslie, see! that's what I mean, everything all jumbled together and coming out the other end all messed up in weird ways - getting ready to head out the door for my morning walk and don't have to bundle up in three layers - one should do it - see you and the Apter groupies on the 5th! :))

so happy it made you laugh - I'm still so jacked up about the streaming possibilities, so thank you for opening that door Melinda - it's not an easy thing, but it sure has potential - hope you are resting after your weekend - we should talk later in the week, will email! xo

Hi Annie! the list! it sort cleanses the palette so to speak - just had to get to the other side of it all, no? oh, the big screen - coming your way soon! xo

OMG! my post was long wasn't it Moma Luna! geez! glad it helped put a smile on your face - oh, the little frozen charlottes are just delicious little creatures. using them in some of my personal art. so happy to see you here and your reply wasn't long at all, :))

hello Faye, thank you, glad you found your way here! pop in anytime, we are a friendly bunch :))

good morning Daryl! oooo, the necklace is just yummy! thin? really?, well, I had to lose another 20 lbs before I got sick and I'm so glad I did because my mobility issues are better for it and I need to drop another ten, sigh - it never ends - is my verification on? didn't have a clue - I hate the new way you have to enter practically the whole alphabet before you can leave a comment - will fumble my way there and turn it off and hey, I've been tweeting you girl!! xo

Hi Jeane, You really had me laughing. There are "those" weeks. Happy Birthday! I adore you necklace, tres chic!! Hope you week gets better... :D

good morning Miss Babs, oh dear, I hope your week has made a turn and is wearing a smile - bday not for a couple of weeks, but I actually try to celebrate everyday now - life too darn precious and fleeting, no? yes, streaming, coming to you soon!! xo

hello Anca, well I might share my personal art - don't know at this time - it's done for my own healing and I seldom share it in the world - it's like a personal diary - my way of writing. OMG!, my wax pot has reconstituted stuff I've ripped off so many pieces that I would be hard put to know what most of it is...most of what you see on this piece is back in the pot now waiting for another shot! :)

Hey Chris, thank you and my week is definitely getting better! stuff full on on all front burners, thanks for coming by :)
